*Chardham Yatra* ________________________________________ *Day 1: Chennai – Dehradun – Barkot* *Travel distance:* 160 km *Time:* 7.00 hrs Early morning flight from Chennai airport and reach Dehradun at 10:30 am. From there, depart for Barkot. On the way to Barkot, visit Prakasheshwar Mandir in Dehradun and worship there, and then visit Lakha Mandal on the way to Barkot. Visit the ancient Shiva temple. Overnight stay at River View Camp Resort in beautiful surroundings in Barkot. *Meal Plan:* Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner ________________________________________ *Day 2: Yamunotri* *Travel distance:* 45 km *Time:* 2.30 hrs After breakfast at 7:00 am, leave Barkot for Janakichatti. From Janakichatti, we have to travel 5 km by horse/doli/pittu (at our own expense) up the mountain to Yamunotri. Here, we have to sprinkle water in the Yamuna Kund (hot spring) and have darshan of Yamuna Devi. We have to bring the rice prepared by soaking rice in the hot water there as prasad. We have to have lunch (at our own expense) in Yamunotri. We have to return to Janakichatti again by horse/doli/pittu (5 km). From here, we reach Barkot by our own vehicle for the night. After dinner, we stay at Barkot. *Meal Plan:* Breakfast & Dinner ________________________________________ *Day 3: Uttarkashi* *Travel distance:* 85 km *Time:* 5 hrs After breakfast, check out of the resort and on the way from Barkot to Uttarkashi, visit Sivakufa, a naturally formed thousand-year-old Shiva temple. Then, after lunch, reach Uttarkashi and check in to the hotel for an overnight stay. Leave the hotel at 4:00 pm and visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Uttarkashi. Then return to the hotel and rest after dinner. *Meal Plan:* Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner ________________________________________ *Day 4: Gangotri* *Travel distance:* 100 km *Time:* 3 hrs After breakfast, depart from Uttarkashi for Gangotri at 7:30 am. On the way, have lunch and reach Gangotri. Visit Gangotri to see Goddess Ganga. Visit Bhagirath Shila, the sacred rock on which Bhagirath sat, where Bhagirath performed penance and brought Ganga to the earth. Then, collect holy water from the Bhagirathi River and return to Uttarkashi. After dinner, rest. *Meal Plan:* Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner ________________________________________ *Day 5: Uttarkashi – Sitapur* *Travel distance:* 225 km *Time:* 8 hrs Morning departure from Uttarkashi to Sitapur. On the way, visit Agasthu Muni Temple and Rudraprayag and continue your journey after lunch. In the evening, reach Sitapur, the foothills of Kedarnath, check in to the hotel and rest after dinner. *Meal Plan:* Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner ________________________________________ *Day 6: Sitapur – Gaurikund – Kedarnath* At 4:00 am, walk a short distance from Sitapur to the jeep stand and board the jeep and travel four kilometers to reach Gaurikund. From Gaurikund, leave for Kedarnath by horse/doli/pittu (at your own expense). Have breakfast at the shops on the way to Kedarnath (at your own expense). Reach Kedarnath shrine at 10:00 am and have darshan of Lord Shiva. Have lunch at the hotels there (at your own expense) and then return to Gaurikund by horse/doli/pittu (at your own expense). Then reach Sitapur and rest after dinner. *Meal Plan:* Dinner *Note:* Those who wish to travel by helicopter in the Kedarnath itinerary should make a reservation online under their own arrangement. Helicopter reservations cannot be made by our company. Moreover, the helicopter operation will be subject to weather conditions. If those who have booked the helicopter on their own arrangement are unable to travel due to weather changes, we cannot make changes to our itinerary for other days. The additional cost incurred due to changes in the itinerary due to unavoidable natural and weather conditions will be borne by them. If you have to stay in Kedarnath hill due to weather conditions, the cost will be borne by them. Horse and doli (at their own expense) will be arranged by our company. ________________________________________ *Day 7: Triyugi Narayan – Guptkashi – Ukhimath* *Travel distance:* 110 km *Time:* 5 hrs After breakfast, take a local jeep to visit Triyugi Narayan Temple, the place where the marriage of Shiva and Parvati took place. Then return to Sitapur and check out of the hotel room. After lunch, leave for Srinagar. On the way, visit Kashi Vishwanathar at Guptkashi. Then visit Ukhimath (the 6-month winter residence of Kedar Eshwar) and visit. At night, reach Srinagar, check in to the hotel and stay overnight. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner ________________________________________ *Day 8: Srinagar – Pandukeshwar* *Travel distance:* 160 km *Time:* 6 hrs In the morning, check out of the room from Srinagar and leave for Pandukeshwar. On the way, visit the Narasimha temple (one of the 108 Divya Desams) in Joshimath. On the way from Joshimath to Pandukeshwar, visit Garuda Ganga, the place where Naga Dosham Nirvathi is removed. In the evening, reach Pandukeshwar, check in to the room and have darshan of Pandukeshwar Swami at leisure (Phavishya Badri). Rest after dinner. *Meal Plan:* Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner ________________________________________ *Day 9: Pandukeshwar – Badrinath* *Travel distance:* 30 km *Time:* 1 hr After breakfast, leave Pandukeshwar at 7:30 am and reach Mana Village, the first village of India. Walk for a short distance, see the origin of the Saraswati River, Vyasa Cave, and Keshav Prayag. Return to Badrinath and visit Badrivishal (one of the 108 Divya Desams) in Badrinath. Then go to Brahma Kapal, perform Darpanam and collect the water from the Alaknanda River. Then return to Pandukeshwar for dinner and rest. *Meal Plan:* Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner ________________________________________ *Day 10: Pancha Prayag – Rishikesh* *Travel distance:* 312 km *Time:* 10 hrs Morning check out from Pandukeshwar and depart for Rishikesh. *Places to Visit:* • Vishnu Prayag • Nandaprayag • Karnaprayag • Rudraprayag • Devaprayag (Neelavanna Perumal Temple – one of the 108 Divya Desams) • Dhari Devi – Shakti Peetham Overnight stay in Rishikesh. *Meal Plan:* Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner ________________________________________ *Day 11: Rishikesh Darshan (City Tour)* *Travel Time:* Full day Morning visit Rishikesh and take a dip in the Ganga. In the evening, depart for Chennai/Bangalore by flight from Dehradun. Chardham Yatra concludes auspiciously.
