*Kolkata Devotional Pilgrimage* *Destinations Covered: Kolkata, Mayapur, Deoghar (Baidyanath Dham), Vasukinath* *Duration: 4 Days / 3 Nights* *Overview:* Baidyanath Dham, located in Deogarh, Jharkhand, is one of the twelve sacred Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. According to Hindu legend, Ravana, the King of Lanka, worshipped Lord Shiva at this site, offering his ten heads as a sacrifice. Moved by this act, Lord Shiva appeared as a healer—hence the name “Vaidyanath,” meaning divine physician. This pilgrimage offers a spiritually enriching journey to Baidyanath Jyotirlingam and other revered temples in Kolkata and Mayapur. ________________________________________ *Day 1: Chennai – Kolkata – Mayapur* • Arrive in Kolkata by 8:30 AM. • Proceed to Mayapur by luxury AC vehicle. • Visit the world-famous ISKCON Headquarters Temple. • After lunch, return to Kolkata. • Evening shopping and leisure time. • Check-in and overnight stay at the hotel in Kolkata. *Meal Plan:* Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner ________________________________________ *Day 2: Kolkata Darshan* • After breakfast, proceed for full-day sightseeing in Kolkata. • Visit Belur Math – the headquarters of the Ramakrishna Mission, and shrines dedicated to Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda. • Visit Dakshineswar Kali Temple on the banks of the Hooghly River. • View the iconic Howrah Bridge and take a photo stop near the Hooghly River. • Visit the majestic Victoria Memorial. • Post-lunch, explore the Indian Museum and Mother Teresa’s Home (Mother House). • In the evening (around 5:30 PM), visit Kalighat Kali Temple, one of the 51 Shakti Peethas. *Overnight Stay:* Kolkata *Meal Plan:* Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner ________________________________________ *Day 3: Kolkata – Deoghar (Baidyanath Dham)* • After breakfast, check out and travel to Deoghar in an AC vehicle. • En route, visit Naulakha Mandir, an architectural gem near Deoghar. • Check into the hotel and rest briefly. • In the evening (around 5 PM), visit Baidyanath Jyotirlingam, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas. • Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay. *Meal Plan:* Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner ________________________________________ *Day 4: Vasukinath Jyotirlingam – Return Journey* • After early breakfast and check-out, depart by 7:30 AM to Vasukinath Temple. • According to belief, Vasukinath Jyotirlingam and Baidyanath Jyotirlingam together form the complete Jyotirlinga.
