*Srisailam – Ahobilam – Navanandi Yatra* There are 12 Jyotirlingas in India, and one among them is located in the state of Andhra Pradesh — Srisailam. It is situated in the Nallamalai Mountain Range, and the temple’s presiding deity is Lord Shiva. In the midst of these Nallamalai Hills is the temple of Lord Vishnu, known as Ahobilam, which is one among the 108 Divyadesams. Mythology says that the Nallamalai range resembles the form of Adhiseshan (a divine serpent) — the head is Tirupati, the body is Ahobilam, and the tail is Srisailam. Moreover, there are many temples dedicated to Nandikeshwara or Nandi, the sacred vehicle (vahana) of Lord Shiva, located in the Nandyal district, collectively known as the Nava Nandis. Among these, the Maha Nandi Temple is considered the most important. Our Srisailam–Ahobilam–Navanandi Yatra allows us to visit all these sacred temples. ________________________________________ *DAY 1: Chennai – Hyderabad – Srisailam (Check flight timings)* Our journey starts at 5:30 AM from Chennai, en route to Hyderabad. We reach Hyderabad at 7:00 AM. After breakfast, we proceed to Srisailam, a journey of approximately 4 hours 40 minutes. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel. After lunch, we visit: • Pathala Ganga (descend 500 steps to collect the holy Theertham) • Sri Sakshi Ganapathy Temple • Sri Mallikarjuna Temple (one among the 12 Jyotirlingas) • Sri Bhramaramba Devi Temple (one among the 51 Shakti Peethas) Dinner and overnight stay at Srisailam. *Meal Plan:* Lunch / Dinner ________________________________________ *DAY 2: Navanandi – Mahanandi* Post breakfast, we check out and proceed to Nandyal district to seek darshan at the Nava Nandi temples. On reaching Nandyal, we check in to the hotel. After lunch, we begin the temple visits and return to the hotel. *Temples to visit:* • Prathama Nandi Temple • Naga Nandi Temple • Soma Nandi Temple • Surya Nandi Temple • Shiva Nandi Temple • Vishnu Nandi Temple • Garuda Nandi Temple • Vinayaka Nandi Temple • Maha Nandi Temple Dinner and overnight stay at Nandyal. *Meal Plan:* Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner ________________________________________ *DAY 3: Nandavaram – Yaganti – Ahobilam* After breakfast, check out from the hotel at Nandyal and proceed to Ahobilam. On the way: • Visit Nandavaram and have darshan of Chowdeshwari Amman • Visit Yaganti and have darshan of Umamaheshwara Temple Continue the journey to Ahobilam, reach in the afternoon, and check in to AC rooms. After lunch, visit the following *Lower Ahobilam temples:* • Yogananda Narasimha • Chatravata Narasimha • Prahlada Varada Narasimha Overnight stay at Ahobilam. *Meal Plan:* Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner ________________________________________ *DAY 4: Ahobilam – Upper Ahobilam* Start early at 5:00 AM for Upper Ahobilam temple visits. These temples are located in hilly terrain, and visitors must trek to reach them. For those unable to climb, Doli service (at own expense) can be arranged by Salem SS Travel. After darshan, take a jeep ride to visit the two forest-located temples. *Temples to visit:* • Jwala Narasimha • Malola Narasimha • Ugra Narasimha • Kroda (Varaha) Narasimha • Karanja Narasimha • Bhargava Narasimha (in forest) • Pavana Narasimha (in forest) Return to the hotel in the evening. Overnight stay at Ahobilam. *Meal Plan:* Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner ________________________________________ *DAY 5: Ondimitta Kodanda Rama Temple – Kadapa – Chennai* After breakfast at 9:00 AM, check out and leave for Kadapa. On the way, visit the famous Ondimitta Kodanda Rama Temple. After lunch, proceed to Kadapa Airport and board the flight to Chennai at 4:25 PM, arriving at 5:25 PM.
